Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center Receives Partner of the Year Award!

Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center (TVHC) was recently honored with the Outstanding Partner of the Year Award by the California Association of Recreation and Park Districts (CARPD). This recognition was received thanks to TVHC’s partnership with Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD), who also nominated TVHC.

In the nomination, HARD stated: “Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center is an outstanding community organization whose partnership with the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District exemplifies how recreation plays a vital role in community well-being.”

With the support of HARD, TVHC has successfully brought essential services like nutrition education, yoga classes, walks in the parks, and children’s summer camps directly to our patients and community members.

The collaboration between TVHC and HARD exemplifies how health centers continue to be innovative in their approach to whole-person care while working with fellow community organizations to create a healthier and more equitable future. TVHC is excited to continue their journey with HARD to make a meaningful difference in the lives of all those we serve.
