Baywell Health Forms Partnership to Expand Health Equity for Black Mothers
Blog contribution: Baywell Health
Baywell Health, located in Oakland has formed a new partnership with Lincoln Families: Black Infant Health Program.
…this will allow Baywell Health to significantly advance our efforts to reduce maternal and child mortality rates – Dr. Reginauld Jackson
Black Infant Health (BIH) is a health equity program offering individual and group support to pregnant and post-partum Black mothers and birthing people. BIH recognizes that anti-Black racism, social and economic stressors, and neighborhood conditions contribute to poor birth outcomes for Black mothers, birthing people, and infants. Baywell provides health care predominantly to Black patients and strives to bridge the gap between healthcare and Black populations. This partnership is essential and helpful to our cause, and we are excited for patients to partake in it.
“We have been a longstanding partner with the Black Infant Health program, an invaluable resource to the Black mothers, infants, and families we serve. The opportunity to partner with Alameda County and Lincoln Families on this important work will allow Baywell Health to significantly advance our efforts to reduce maternal and child mortality rates in our community,” -Dr. Reginauld Jackson, Director of Research, Evaluation and Community Health at Baywell Health.
Baywell Health is thankful to Lincoln Families and the Alameda County Health Department.
